I have always appreciated the deep connection between mind and hand. Innovating and building have always been an obsession.

I started K1 Craftsman in 2023 after my 14 ½ years of service in the Navy, 10 of those as a Navy SEAL. For the first time in my adult life, I had the opportunity to reinvent myself. I’ve always been drawn to art that feels recognitions-music, paintings, anything where you know the person who made it felt what you feel. I never a traditional way to do that. Woodworking became mine.

Trees endure a lifetime of hardships. The odds are not in their favor. Growing over hundreds of years, fighting off infection, storms, fires, while providing us with our most important resource: oxygen. I respect the work that goes into their survival and believe they deserve a second life. I owe it to the tree, not just for pay but to make it useful again. Building the best pieces possible and sharing my passion through my work is why I do it.

"There are craftsmen all over YouTube. Time is the ultimate measure of priorities, and mine is devoted to the pursuit of mastery."
